Death Feed
Player deaths from all non-PvP causes posted to Discord — starvation, falls, animals, environment, and more.
What it does
The Death Feed module covers every death that isn't a player-vs-player kill. When someone dies from starvation, drowning, falling, a trap, an explosion, or any other environmental cause, this module posts it to Discord.
It's a complement to the Kill Feed — together they give you a complete picture of everything that happens on your server.
Death causes
Vigil categorises non-PvP deaths into five types, each with its own toggle and colour:
| Type | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Suicide | Player killed themselves — respawn, or self-inflicted | Bled out, stepped on their own grenade |
| Drowned | Player ran out of oxygen underwater | Swam too deep |
| Trap | Player was killed by a placed trap | Bear trap, landmine |
| Explosion | Killed by an explosive | Grenade, car explosion |
| Environment | Everything else | Starvation, disease, falling, zombie |
You can enable or disable each type independently. If you only want to see drownings and trap deaths, you can turn off the rest.
