Raid Alerts
Players register their base and get instant private Discord alerts when anyone threatens it.
What it does
Raid Alerts lets players register their base location from their Vigil player profile page (/me/[serverId]). When anyone dismantles a structure, builds near, or places explosives near a registered base, the base owner receives an instant private alert in a Discord channel that Vigil creates specifically for them.
The alerts are delivered through Vigil Sentry — the bot creates a private Discord channel per player automatically, so no webhook setup is required. Faction leaders can also register a faction-level base, with alerts going to all faction members through the faction channel.
Raid Alerts requires the Vigil Sentry Bot to be connected to your Discord server. The bot manages the private alert channels.
Base registration and verification
When a player registers a base from their /me dashboard, they must verify ownership before alerts start firing.
Verification process
- The player registers a base location in their
/medashboard and assigns it a name - Vigil assigns a specific flag item (e.g.
flag_white) to that registration - The player must raise that flag at their Territory Flag pole within the verification window (default 30 minutes)
- If the flag is detected in the server log within the window, the base is verified and alerts go live
- Once verified, the white flag can be taken down — place your own flag back if you had one previously
If the verification window expires without detection, the player can extend it — up to 5 extensions are allowed before a new registration is required.
Configuration options
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Alert on explosives placed | Fire an alert when explosives are placed near a registered base |
| Alert on any building | Fire an alert when any building action occurs near a registered base |
| Alert cooldown (minutes) | Minimum time between repeat alerts for the same player near the same base |
| Verification window (minutes) | How long a player has to raise their flag after registering |
Ignore lists
Each registered base has a per-base ignore list — a set of gamertags whose actions near that base will not trigger alerts. This is intended for trusted teammates who should not set off alerts. The ignore list is managed by the base owner from their /me dashboard.
Faction raid alerts
Faction leaders can create a faction-level base registration from the faction settings page. When a faction base is threatened, all faction members receive the alert through their faction's Discord channel (managed by Vigil Sentry).
Suggested Discord channel
Raid alert channels are created and managed by the Vigil Sentry Bot on a per-player or per-faction basis. No webhook URL is required for this module — you do not configure a channel here.
