Safezone Enforcement

Define coordinate-based safezones. Alert admins and auto-ban players who kill inside them.

This is a Pro module — requires a Pro subscription.

What it does

The Safezone Enforcement module lets you define specific areas on your server's map as protected zones. If a player kills another player inside one of those areas, Vigil posts an alert to Discord and optionally auto-bans the killer from your Nitrado server.

This is designed for servers with trader areas, starter zones, or any location where PvP should be prohibited.

Adding a zone

Click + Add Zone to open the zone creation wizard. There are three ways to define a zone:

Draw on Map (recommended)

Click points directly on an interactive map to outline your zone as a polygon. Best for irregular shapes like trader compounds or military bases.

Circle Zone

Enter a centre point (X and Y coordinates) and a radius in metres. Good when you already know your coordinates from a tool like iZurvive.

Auto Detect via Fireplaces

Go in-game as your linked gamertag and place up to 10 Fireplaces around the boundary of your zone. Vigil tracks each placement in real time and calculates a zone that fits those positions. Click Use These Positions once you're happy with the coverage.

Auto Detect is useful when you want to walk the boundary in-game rather than look up coordinates. The detection window is 20 minutes from when you connect.

After defining the shape, give the zone a name and confirm. The zone appears in your list immediately.

Zone shapes

ShapeDescription
CircleA centre point and radius. Simple and fast to set up.
PolygonA custom outline drawn on the map. More precise for complex areas.

Editing and disabling zones

  • Edit — reopens the wizard pre-filled with the zone's current values. Use the back links to redraw or adjust coordinates before saving.
  • Active / Disabled — toggle a zone on or off without deleting it.
  • Del — permanently removes the zone.

Position checking modes

Configures which player's position is checked when a kill happens:

ModeDescription
VictimAlert if the victim died inside the safezone
KillerAlert if the killer was inside the safezone when they fired
EitherAlert if either player was inside the safezone

Most servers use Victim mode so the zone protects players who are physically inside it.

Configuration options

Whitelist

Gamertags listed here are exempt from all enforcement — no alerts, no bans. Use this for admins and trusted staff.

Auto-ban

Automatically adds the killer to your Nitrado ban list when a violation is detected. Set the ban duration in hours — use 0 for a permanent ban.

Ban on build

Bans any player who builds inside a safezone. Useful for preventing fortification of trader areas. You can choose which build actions trigger the ban: Built, Mounted, or Placed.

Display options

  • Show location — adds a map link for the kill position
  • Show distance from zone centre — shows how far inside the zone the kill occurred
  • Show server log time — includes the in-game log timestamp in the embed

Suggested Discord channel

#safezone-violations — admins can review and act on violations as they come in.

Auto-ban applies immediately via Nitrado. Make sure your whitelist includes any admins who may legitimately need to engage in PvP for testing purposes.
