PVE Safezone

What it does

The PVE Safezone module enforces a PvE (player vs environment only) rule across your entire server. Every time one player kills another, Vigil treats it as a violation — posting an alert to Discord and optionally auto-banning the offending player from your Nitrado server.

This is designed for PvE community servers where any PvP is against the rules.

How it works

When a player kill is detected:

1. Vigil checks if the killer is on your whitelist (see below)
2. If not whitelisted, it posts an alert to your Discord webhook
3. If auto-ban is enabled, it adds the killer to your Nitrado server's ban list

Vigil applies a 5-minute cooldown per killer to prevent spamming the same player's violations repeatedly if they kill multiple times in quick succession.

Map auto-detection

On first run, Vigil automatically detects which map your server is running (Chernarus, Livonia, or Sakhal) by reading your Nitrado server settings. This is saved and used to label violations correctly.

Configuration options

Whitelist

A list of gamertags exempt from enforcement. Useful for admins who need to test PvP mechanics or trusted players with special permissions.

Auto-ban

When enabled, Vigil automatically adds the offending player to your Nitrado ban list the moment a violation is detected.

Ban duration

How long the auto-ban lasts:

• 0 = permanent ban
• Any other number = ban duration in hours

Embed colour

The colour used for violation alerts in Discord.

Show location

Adds clickable map coordinate links for both the killer and victim positions.

Show distance

Shows the distance between the two players at the time of the kill.

#pve-violations — separate from your admin alerts so violations are easy to find.
